THIS POSITION IS PART TIME 3PM-8PM
Yard supervisor will be in charge of planning and supervising loading, unloading less than truck loads (LTL); managing vehicle operators, material movers and helpers. They prepare work orders and shipping documents, maintain shipping and manage inventory. These professionals must also make sure safety procedures are followed, and they're responsible for ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and receiving procedures.
 
Essential Functions:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the yard, including managing loading and unloading; responsible for shipping documentation for LTL
• Supervise yard staff to meet company standards
• Build/plan efficient trailer loads
• Ensure excellent service is provided to customers/brokers
• Handle customer/broker/driver issues as needed
• Provide direction to team regarding duties and goals
• Perform work assigned by LTL Manager to ensure successful operation of yard
 
Requirements:
• Ability to speak and understand Russian
• Two years of supervisory experience in a trucking environment and/or warehouse experience
• Ability to operate yard equipment required (forklift, pallet jack). Forklift certification preferred.
• Trailer loader experience preferred
• Excellent customer service attitude and skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer proficiency
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• HS Diploma or GED with some college coursework required, two or four year degree preferred
