Robert Half is seeking an Senior Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to join a team of highly skilled professionals in a stimulating work environment. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are integral functions for this position. Based out of the Marietta, Georgia area, the Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening.Major responsibilities- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis- Perform full-cycle A/P- Provide support to internal business partners- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling- Assist with internal and external audits as needed- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documentsRequirements- Strong attention to detail- 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred- Batch Processing experience desired- Batch Processing experience required- Proficiency in supervising- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
