A reputable, full-service Portland firm is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Paralegal to join their practice and provide support and service to their top corporate clients. This firm offers top-of-market salaries, excellent benefits, and up to a fully remote schedule. Duties include: Assist attorneys with all aspects of workers' compensation cases in Washington and Oregon, including: Intake and initial case evaluationClient communication and correspondenceMedical record organization and analysisDiscovery preparation and managementDrafting legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefsResearching relevant legal issues and case lawMaintaining accurate and organized case filesMeeting deadlines and staying on top of case developmentsCompensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with 4% match, 12 days paid vacation, 10 days of paid sick leave and 8 paid holidays per calendar year. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Workers' Compensation and Oregon and Washington StateStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent research and writing skillsAbility to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a team
