Academic Multimedia Services (AMS) currently provides these services but at the detriment to classroom and conference room support. The number of requests for meeting and event support as of October 21st is 120 compared to requests for classroom support which is 210. Event support has proven to be more time-consuming as the need for walkthroughs, meetings, and setup/breakdown extends outside of the time of the actual event requires multiple resources. This also includes instances where a technician is required or requested for the entirety of the event.Recommended Job Description:Meet with executive teams to gather requirements and details for meetings and live events.Interface with users and event coordinators on-site and remote regarding specific situations and clarify event requirements regarding audio visual needsMaintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environmentTest configurations and support high-profile video conferencing (Zoom, Zoom Webinar, Teams) & presentation meetings and events prior to their start.Setup, operate and maintain equipment used to enhance video conferencing, such as display monitors, microphones, speakers, cameras, audio systems, projectors, lighting, staging and computers.Provide full event production support including but not limited to forwarding slide decks, video playback, live stream coordination, graphic support, multi camera operationPerform day-to-day housekeeping and maintenance of dedicated event spacesEscalate issues to external audio-visual integrator when neededSetup portable live event systems to integrate with existing infrastructureReview schedules for the next day requests to ensure equipment is operationalMaintain inventory of audio-visual equipment and replace as necessaryProvide white glove customer service to clients and stakeholdersWork with external live event AV vendors for large scale events (Commencement, Fall Festival, etc.)Recommended Skills Required:Must be skilled and experienced with basic AV setup, operation and tear down.Experience with stage wash lighting systems.Capable of setting up and operating equipment for seamless video programming during live corporate and social events.Must understand video signal flow, video resolution, basic content formatting, LED Video, familiarity with video signal flow is preferred.Must be familiar with web conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Zoom Webinar, and TeamsMust be familiar in setup, operation and strike of Audio systems including wired/wireless microphones, mixing boards, and speaker systems for small to large events.Ability to ring out rooms and provide two-way audio transmission for video conferences and live-streaming needs.Must be familiar with projection/display systems, computers, PowerPoint, Keynote and operation of graphics laptops for corporate events.Capable of making small adjustments to client content when necessary.
